One of the developers of Terraria that goes by the name of Tiyuri, has given us some screenshots and info about his new upcoming game.

“It’s a mix of diablo, metroid, castlevania, terraria, pokemon + some new stuff no one has ever done before”, said Tiyuri to an eager fan, IndieGameMagazine also had a quick chat with Tiyuri who then added “maybe borderlands too”.

Though the game looks resembling to Terraria, Tiyuri himself said “It’s going to be a considerably different game to Terraria“.

I've never played Terraria, even though I kept hearing good things about it. Today when meeting with my cousin, he told me how addicted he is to it, and he tried to explain what it was. It kinda went over my head, so when I got home, I went on Steam and looked at a video, and I must say, I must have been missing out.

From some other previews he showed (They were just mockups from the looks of it), it's going to be fairly multiplayer-based. Possibly a social MMO, who knows.

FYI, Tiy isn't one of the developers of Terraria AFAIK, he's just an artist. He is developing this game though.

Really hard for me to believe that...

he just want to sell the game by been a lazy ass and telling lies
You're aware Terraria already incorporates elements from Diablo, Metroid, and Castlevania (+ plenty more), right? None of this is a stretch of the imagination by any means.

I love Terraria to death, and will likely throw money at this as soon as its first Steam sale rolls around.

he had worked really hard on terraria and it showed itself. the problem with such games is that it is very time consuming and sometimes loses its fun value for those looking for something fun at the very begining
