I heard that supposedly defragging your 3DS's SD card screws up the EmuNAND. Can somebody shine any truth on this?

There's absolutely no need to format flash memory. And if you did, the emunand is on a partition that windows doesn't have access to without some third party software.

NTFS is the only partition type that has fragmenting. FAT, FAT32, ext*, etc do not have this problem. Blame Microsoft.
