hahaha..one thing press F11 - Emulation Setup
change the NDS - Cartridge Backup Media to AUTO and see whether you can SAVE the game then

only the version that u have to pay for has the "auto" function, in the free one, u just have to try all of em

and elix: by "adding a jump" I mean that the new jump keeps the movement graphics ans sounds. for example if u have 2 types of jumps with different altitudes, the new one should still have the same movement (not like teleporting) as the old jump

the difference is: u wont teleport, but u would like smoothly increase without a limit
so this can not be done with just 1 adress and value, that would make u go to that ONE hight u set in the value
u would actually be making a code that slowly increases the value as u rise and not just replacing an existing one

but this varys from game to game and that's why I suck at making those damn codes

polle123,
well such as the one dsrules made for commando steel.. it slowly increases your height ... with just a line of code

I wish I could code, all I do is come up with ideas. Thanks for working so hard for me Berthenk. I wish I could start coding, so I can contribute to this thread other than coming up with ideas. I checked the first post by curley, which was pretty good, except... When I went to choose my emulator it didn't come up. Just for reference, I think it's called NO$GBA, and when I tried running it WITHOUT emucheat, it said It can't find the save file and for me to reset. So annoying. :/ So I reset it and the same thing came up again and again... Please help.

Uuhh... try downloading NO$GBA 2.6... if you already have, run NinjaTown on it.

I've run Ninja town and this comes up: The save data could not be accessed. Please turn the power OFF and reinsert the DS Card. And I've reran it again and again and I even tried other games but it still comes up with that. I don't know why it doesn't work, but I retried ninjatown again and it came up with the same thing, so I decided to save a snapshot, I opened it and still the same thing comes up. I think I'll try the guide. xD

mrfatso,
don't give up, i will find you a game that you can render

hahaha..one thing press F11 - Emulation Setup

Under NDS Backup Cartrdige Media there's only:
EEPROM 0.5Kbytes
EEPROM 8Kybtes
EEPROM 64Kbytes
FLASH 256bytes
FLASH 512bytes

And..

FRAM32Kbytes,

So I don't know where auto is :/. As mentioned above, I think I'll check a guide. I'm kinda flustered at the momment, so There won't be any code ideas from me for a while :/.

Dr. Stiles, I would help you but I don't think we're allowed to post emulators up here are we...?

Hehe Moo, how's the Metal Slug Moon Jump going? or you want me to post the code??
since, there's no reply from Hehe Moo for 2 days, I'll post the code instead
Metal Slug 7 (U)
push B for Moon Jump
94000130 FFFD0000
120F8566 0000000A
D2000000 00000000

someone test it, so that Narin can add it to the database if it works...

experiment with all 6 until it boots.

IMO, moon jump, is holding a button (b, for example), and it lets you levitate, as in, going upwards. You could let go of b, and then press it again to go up again.
Anyway, i'm looking into the dat again...

Yes I know, I am suspecting the code changes the maximum hight of the "new jump"
If thats not the case then we are now smashing in to my knowledge of moon jump codes (witch is not big btw) xD

don't get me wrong
ohmy.gif

I wouldn't have gotten further then you on that code
You got as far as I or you could with our understanding of the subject, just saying.. how can u hack something of witch u don't know how it works, I know i can't anyway
If anyone could have told me the coding logic behind a moonjump I would have wrote a guild about it long ago

as I mentioned, just try the first 5
FRAM is (as far as I know) never used by games so far

cool....could you test this one also?

Commando (U)

Moon Jump
94000130 FFFE0000
020B9280 FFFFC000
d2000000 00000000

I fixed it so that it has infinite jumps while in mid-air

waths the check for?

ohmy.gif
dsrules, is there any chance you can teach us how to do infinite jumps in the air?
smile.gif

@Berthenk, what you said is exactly what my moon jump code does

@Berthenk, what you said is exactly what my moon jump code does
tongue.gif

infinite jumps is easy (most of the times)

say in a game u can jump 3 times
so value is 3
when u jump 1 time, value is 2
when u jump the second time, value is 1
and after the 3'rd jump, value is 0
so all u need to do is make a code that sets that value to FF or wath ever u want

--------------------------------------------
or say in a game u can jump only 1 time
when u haven't jumped yet: the alue is "yes"
when u have jumped: value is "no"
so in this case, I advise using "?" and "!"

smile.gif

hope u understand
if u don't, don't be afraid to ask
smile.gif

@dsrules: this is correct right? if I'm wrong, please correct me

hmmm....
me still being moon jump nuts.. tomorrow will start study how to make moon jump codes
guess it is not that difficult since all the codes posted by dsrules are just 1 line
smile.gif

i will start with metal slug 7

polle123,
your idea make sense
smile.gif

by the way.. Hehe Moo ~! happy MOO MOO year

@polle123, what you said is for games that has double jumps, but not on games that only has single jump,
on the other hand, a real Moon Jump would have also included Infinite Jumps as part of it on any game...

@elixirdream, since you're trying to do a Moon Jump for Metal Slug 7 (U)

here's what I did using No$gba, emuhaste, and Metal Slug 7 (U):

1. stand on the ground and search 16bit for [=] equal
2. jump highest then pause game by clicking on the No$gba Help>About or push Enter on this game, on emuhaste search for [+] Increase
3. unpause, then jump again and pause the game on a lower altitude than the previous jump, on emuhaste search for [-] Decrease
4. unpause, stand on the ground, on emuhaste search for [-] Decrease then click [=] Equal a few times and you should have like 10-30 results
5. click on the search result address that ends with 0, 4, 8, or C, (32bit) and do a jump in the game while looking at the memory viewer in emuhaste
if you see FF pops up on the memory viewer under 3 , 7, B, or F (the end of the 32bit address) then that might be a good address to test
6. tick both boxes on the top of the emuhaste cheat box and test the code by using 00000000 for the value, click apply and do a jump in the game, if the jump high is different than a normal jump then it should be the right address, next is to change the values to make it jump to the moon....

hope it works with the above steps
