Hacking 9.2 Upgrade for Plailetcs

Hi Just starting to do the Plailetcs guide.
I need to upgrade to 9.2 first and am on step 10 of the upgrade guide using RXtools.

I have on old 3ds with 4.5.0-8E I get to step 10 and try the Health and Safety Dump.
I get the message: APP0 not found or fragmented. It fails the dump.
Any help most gratefully appreciated!

You did your FBI injection with FBI right?
You might be a bit unlucky now

"Validation Stage 1: SUCCESS" and "Validation Stage 2: FAILED"
This will happen due to having a fragmented NAND (caused by various things such as rxTools' shitty FBI injection or some Gateway software). OTPHelper cannot check the files of a fragmented NAND, but if you got "Validation Stage 1: SUCCESS" then "Validation Stage 2: FAILED" will rarely be an anything but a false positive.

You can either flash to SysNAND at your own risk, or attempt to defragment your NAND by using Decrypt9 to dump your CTRNAND partition, then mounting it on your computer using something like OSFMount and defragging that mounted CTRNAND using something like Defraggler.

Have you ever injected FBI using rxtools?
Try doing a system format if you haven't injected first

Nope never injected FBI using RXtools.Do I need to?
I've done a system format before I started the procedure as it seemed sensible.

You can try rebooting the console and trying again.
Tho, I find it very weird that you got this error without a rxtools FBI injection

Well, if it keeps failing you can try injecting FBI from rxtools itself(I wouldn't recommend this unless I would see this wouldn't work any way else, and I'm not sure you can use another console's hs.app) . on 9.2 you might have more luck dumping it and injecting a newer FBI.

Follow plailect's guide until the end.
Arm9loaderhax+luma3ds does pay off!

The product is not worth it, really, don't go with it.
But the money you blew is yours, so it's your choice

My friend PF2M took 100+ tries to downgrade. I would assume it's the same for upgrading too.

Would formatting my emunand before I start help? I can do this using my old Gateway kit?

If you have a fresh SD to use go and format that fresh SD fat 32 with the largest cluster size available. Then try again and see if it works for you this time.

Sorry I should of been more clear then. You format the SD card in your PC. The system format in 3DS settings only resets the folder on the SD.

No that's what I did I re formatted to fat32 making sure I used the largest amount of cluster size. Copied the required files to the ad card.
I then formatted the 3DS.
Then I tried the decrypt9. Same problem
Ive even just gone out and gotten a new memory card to see if that made a difference!

It took me about 20-30 times to upgrade on my Old 3DS...worked 2nd or 3rd time on my New 3DS....
