ROM Hack 9.2 JP 3DS, how to hack?

I got a 9.2 3DS, but it's JP region. I got a bunch of questions regarding how to hack this.

1. I don't have Cubic Ninja nor a Gateway. My friend has Cubic Ninja though, is there a one time install hack?
2. What software do I need to convert .3ds files to .cia? Also, how can I stealth myself if I ever go online?
3. Is it possible for me to install .cias that belong to a different region? If yes, how do I update them and get DLCs?
4. If #3 is not possible, is there a way to change regions at will? I've heard of emunands but I'm really not sure how they work. Is it possible to have different emunands to simulate different regions?

It has to be the JPN version of Cubic Ninja, and presently, you need it every boot for free CFW.

Wait, is this old or new 3ds? You have more options with old.

That's the right section for this kind of question. Is your 3ds an original 3ds(o3ds) or one of the new generation 3ds(n3ds)? Your friends cubic ninja needs to be Japanese. Regardless...

1(o3ds). RXTOOLs: Best free solution for o3ds, pretty much a catchall. Doesn't require anything assuming you have a browser and are on 9.2 or below.
1(n3ds). Cubic Ninja + PASTA CFW/REINAND/NTR CFW or Cubic Ninja/Ocarina of time + Gateway

2. Look at post above. No need to stealth yourself if you are using a cia. 3ds roms need to be patched with gateway rom patcher.

3. You can install cias from a different region with most solutions. o3ds you can download updates/dlcs from shop or install them after downloading them in .cia format from your 3ds party .cia/.3ds provider of choice using devmenu/BBM/FBI cia installer.

4. There are methods to get emunand from a different region than your system nand.
