Finally, something I can use.....I'm currently on 7.50 so have disconnected the net from the PS4 for now whilst read up on this. Could I please ask, is there any benefit of my updating to 7.55 though, eg a few more games compatibility between .55 and .50?

I am on 7.55, but when executing for example the red read redemption 2, I have error ce-30391-6, I think it is because of the todex, but if I run it, the game crashes and I have to unplug the console.
Something new?

Same here. Very strange.. Everything worked fine on 6.72.

Reinstalled everything from recovery fw and started from scratch. Still not working.. Date and time is messed, and goes back to 1970.

Thinking it could be the CMOS battery?

Quick question for anyone who's been on ps4 hacks with experience. When I launch a game it says to update for network features. I ran the block updates payload. If I accidentally hit update now will that fail?

I got two kids and I swear if they update I'll crush them!!

Disable update in ps4 settings and uncheck the network
Run disable updates in whatever exploit you are using the disable update payload puts a fake update.pup in the ps4 update folder so technically
If you hit update the ps4 will think it's all ready download it and fail
But the best way is to just disconnect it

I've seen that happen before where it asks for an update. it's from being online, I believe. @JustJay had a similar issue and managed to fix it. all I did when I had that problem was disconnect from the internet and restart the system. now, I'm completely offline. I can even ftp offline with the sandisk connect.

This is how I got rid of the nag

Disable updates
FTP and delete PS4UPDAT.PUP and .temp from UPDATE folder (they should be empty just folders)
Cache the exploit you want to use
DIsconnect internet
Reboot
No more update nag, but if you go back online it'll come back. (even using Al Azif's dns didn't help)

Use the cached exploit.

I certainly will be offline but i can't get the FTP to launch, the exploit is jut too unstable. ive got a few hosts cached but very low success rate.

Anyone on 7.02, 7.5x. If you want to use FTP and dont want all the hassle of running the exploit again to load an FTP payload just use Lapy's PS4-Xplorer. It has FTP built in. I cant remember offhand what button to press to activate it but it should say in the app.(it might be R3)

that's one reason I don't want to update. I mostly use my system to dump things for people, so if ftp is unstable on later firmware, I don't want that frustration. once hen has been launched or the initial ftp (if not using hen) on 5.05, ftp works every time as far as I can tell. I've done it about 50 times, and while hen has crashed the system, ftp never has.
