@masagrator from ignorance, would it make sense a patch that limits the fps to 40, for example? For having a higher fps rate but not forcing the console so much in long games.

No if game doesn't have internal FPS locker and is using double buffer - like in ToTK.

You can unlock 60FPS in this game with FPSLocker alone in all versions.

I just tested the Astral Chain cutscene mod/cheat, and I found that audio is quicker than the video. And I notice the video speed doesn't change with the mod enabled or not. So I'm guessing the fps suppose to affect the audio. If i'm correct, then your mod would be perfect if it supports both 23.976 and 25 fps options.

Simple unlocking 60 FPS screws timers in this game, so it requires more work - for anybody that would like to try. You can unlock 60 FPS with FPSLocker if you want to check this issue.
