Functionally they are the same, often when you install a 60FPS mod in works on multiple updates of the game while cheats will only work on one (as a cheat has to be made for each version of the game for 60FPS as the cheat is changing a certain address in memory to a different value).

60FPS cheats are easier to download compared to 60FPS mods as you can use AIO Updater and select 'Download graphics enchancing cheats' all the cheats from the database that match a game on your system will be download, unlike mods where you are going to have to manually download and extract files to atmosphere/contents.

You need to have Edizon

Atmosphere auto enables cheats by default when you click on Edizon in the overlay

3-4 Player Mario Kart 8 is 30FPS. Hazerou in the past has tried to make it 60FPS but couldn't. It needs a game speed code which are difficult to find.

I found a .pchtxt for it here. You can use a .pchtxt on hardware by using this homebrew application to convert it to a .ips file

Has a patch ever been made to solve the horrible 50fps scrolling found in Actraiser? I know there is a patch for the pc version to change the scrolling from 50 to 60hz. Wondered if this was ever fixed unofficially in the switch version.
