Gaming 6.00 Firmware Due Next Week?!

If I recall, he released 3.90 in 6 hours. Also, if only he could say something.

I have no argument with that, and 3.90 was little more than a tiny update of 3.80 so little needed to be changed. However in this case there are security patches to lock out CFW, new encrypted files to decrypt, and even additional ones. Comments making it seem like DAX can whip out firmwares with little to no effort are probably exactly why Alex got tired of the PSP scene.

Of course...but Sony has only started locking out the hidden exploits very recently. Up until now they've always been one step behind.

true, but now the firmware has reached + 1 in the version, not saying that he must/should make one

Its annoying but its like an arms race, someone is always gonna try and one up the other so that they can stay on top. My gf decided to pick up a Psp today though so we got her on the OFW because of the lack of CFW (gotta have a way to play newer games unfortunately

). But in relation to this post, it does seem like Sony is now gaining the edge and its only a matter of time until the "threat" of CFW is wiped out, especially if apathy of developers of CFW or whatever the reason may be. Unless of course someone manages to get some good solid CFW out again and get the upperhand on Sony!
