Why developing emulator when we can inject roms into VC ?

Don't know if VC inject allows ROM Hacks to be played (if they work). Even for games, not all games work, atleast that's the case on the Wii.
And ofcourse you can load games rightaway on emulator.

The only valuable emulator for WiiU because of the gamepad is SCUMMV. Else... most of us don't care... It's alot of work for barely no results

You better work on a Flash Player Emulator or Java 8 support.
Did you forget to log out before you decided to have a conversation with yourself or what?

All that people want to do is pirate games because there to poor to buy it themselves without there mommy's to buy it for them.

Attention Everyone: Loadiine is a Backup launcher not a pirating service.
EDIT: Not talking about retro emulators

Every backup loader lead to piracy and thats no the point in this thread, everyone knows already that loadiine needs kernel in order to work.

I know it needs kernel. It was patched in 5.5 and the reason why its not currently available (unless you're with the devs who have a private kernel). And I never mentioned kernel access In my last post.

You mentioned everyone wants to pirate with loadiine, i mentioned kernel because all people on 5.5 won't have access to it, never.

keep dreaming, this thing will remain private for other two years. It would be neat if someone manage to make a working emulator with this .elf loader, homebrew goodies are always welcome :)

Yea, but as SonyUSA said,
The SDK is very limited and has no hardware/sounds support soooo... probably won't see anything like an emulator until IOSU is released.

Well, consider that all games run in userland, if you can figure out how to do the same stuff, you have everything you need. They even have tons of sound functionality, a Sound-1 and a Sound-2 library, with multiple sub-libraries for stuff like MIXing and ones for MIDI and synthesizer, as well as being able to render with both PPC and DSP, and stream audio like BFSTM/BRSTM files do

Good point. Although to run loadiine, you have to patch the kernel which is currently not possible as of now. But for no reason, I tested loadiine gx2 in the elf loader. And when I ran elfloader, it hung at a white screen. So even if gx2 runs in userland, loadiine requires a kernel patch to be ran

no i think what he is trying to say is that GX2 runs in userland mode!! so it is possible to have emulators...
what your talking about is loadiine, which we all knows need a kernel exploit!!

so once someone can use the GX2 libraries when porting or making a emulator. everything will be in motion

I thought he was talking about loadiine gx2. . But developments are limited until iosu. So no emulators for a while. Not a lot of people will be making emulators until things get more advanced than this

The only thing needed from the kernel to make an emulator easy to make, is SD card or USB drive access, to load the roms for the emulator. You could load them over the network now, but it would be easier to load them from some physical media instead of through the network. You CAN write an emulator with what we have now, it's just more work.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong here, but I am pretty sure this is correct.

correct. it is possible , just it will be over network rather than usb or sd access

What I was getting as was that the libwiiu SDK is limited... the official SDK could be used but... >_>
