They aren't, though. When shutting down the browser threads the internet connection gets lost for some reason. I already tried keeping them running (with all side effects including not being able to use debug output on the display) and in fact got curl to download the elf without problems. It crashes immediately after for whatsoever reason though, apparently still in curl_easy_perform somewhere.
download..? I think I just made it read from loadiine.elf in the same directory.

It's kinda like downgrading except not? Does that work with 5.5.0? Can I spoof to 5.3.2 then? So many questions, also thanks for explaining. I was really confused about what spoofing meant.

more like upgrading and no u can't spoof on 5.5.0 because u need kernel exploit and that's not yet released for 5.5.0

Our Europe friends are reporting something interesting, can anyone with 5.5.0 and 5.5.1 test this out please!?
yeah, we just found that out. somehow it works.

Does this mean userland exploit was not patched for 5.5.1?

What do I need to test? On 5.5.0 rn but I'm a little lost, are these things only supposed to work on 5.4.0 or something?

Well, that video didn't have a TVii icon, so it means the console was updated to 5.5.0, and since there is no kexploit = no spoof on 5.5.0 it proves that it is a genuine 5.5.1. So, either the developers made a mistake, or someone accidentally discovered a new exploit, not fixed in 5.5.1. In any case, we have a potential 5.5.1 entrypoint already, which means potential IOSU exploit support for 5.5.1 at release. I'd say it's good news :)
