Hacking 5.4.0 progress

Delet system update nag normally works using only userspace, no need for kernel, as for loadiine :
1- there is no public kernel exploit for 5.5.0
2- 5.5.0 has a different OS version than 5.3.2 and 5.4.0 so loadiine from 5.3.2 will not work on 5.5.0

Either Don Jon is on 5.3.2 or he has access to both a private kernel exploit and a ported loadiine version, or he's lying.

It depends on the build you're using as it may be built in, but should be able to run the same wupinstaller .mp4 twice and it'll update the addresses. Then you exit to home menu, it'll crash, and then you wait a good while to power down.

I could not make the wupinstaller run but i made cafeiine run on my wiiu . It asked me to install cafeiine . I pressed A, then the menu pops out. The weird think is that after i install cafeiine my system work normaly but i can't access my browser anymore ( it crashes)

Well there's your problem. That build is a straight compile of Matt/Mn1's stagefright exploit. If that doesn't work on the first try, it will never work with your console. You should be using y8's.

Alright, I got the WUPinstaller working on my 5.4U, and successfully spoofed to 5.5.1.

Host this folder with XAMPP locally (that's what I did, it should work if you have an external server to host it too). And then visit http://yourIP:port/wupinstaller, should boot you out of browser. Open browser again, visit the url one more time, get booted out, hit Home button on gamepad, and you should receive an error code, but the SD:/install files will have installed. More detailed instructions in the zip.

All you have to do is install XAMPP with just the Apache module, copy the files to the xampp/htdocs/ folder, open Xampp and "Start" the Apache server, and visit http://YourIP: port/directoryWithFiles
It should only take you a few minutes. I didn't have luck with files hosted on other's website, but this worked for me.

It's working fine for me. I'm on 5.5E.
I just go to this thread, click on the link and right after 5 seconds it start.

Everything works exactly like 5.3.2, except that the WUPinstaller behaves a little differently, and that loadiine revisions later than the initial don't work.

Uh... It works for me. Didn't work at first though, turning on browser display on the tv screen fixed it.
