Hacking 5.4.0 progress

I've tried the kexploit on there and it also fails. I'll look into trying y8's.

Alright, I got the WUPinstaller working on my 5.4U, and successfully spoofed to 5.5.1.

Host this folder with XAMPP locally (that's what I did, it should work if you have an external server to host it too). And then visit http://yourIP:port/wupinstaller, should boot you out of browser. Open browser again, visit the url one more time, get booted out, hit Home button on gamepad, and you should receive an error code, but the SD:/install files will have installed. More detailed instructions in the zip.

This worked great for me, thanks. Do we just need to use the nnu patcher on wupinstaller.com or will that not work with 5.4?

Uh... It works for me. Didn't work at first though, turning on browser display on the tv screen fixed it.

Thanks that worked, well didn't the first time but on my second try I also opened 4 pages and the curtains and it Worked. Not sure if it made a difference or not.

seems to not work with USA consoles.

I got it working, by having 4 pages open and opening the curtains

In order for the wupinstaller to run you need to have apache installed. Otherwise the easiest way to host files is moongose.

Yes... Xampp. Install with the Apache option on, run it, and "Start Apache". Your local IPv4 address will then be used to access anything that's in the xampp/htdocs folder, just like any website.

Uhh, here is a local hostable NNU too, so run the local wupinstaller once, then open browser and run this NNU.

Alright. I'll see if I can get the kexploit running, it also seems to be crashing, although I may just need to try it a few times.

Any luck getting the kexploit to work? I've gotten it working with 05sonicblue's site, by opening the link in a new tab, but when I launch WUPInstaller using wj44's site, I constantly get the black screen freeze.

There are plenty of easy web servers. Mongoose, hfs, python has a built in one (either python.exe -m SimpleHTTPServer 80, or -m http.server 80 for python 3) and what makes y8's exploit so great is that any of them will just work.
I'm also going to leave a script here that you can use with cygwin or equivalent to easily convert existing 5.3.2 .html payloads into binaries that you can use with y8's.

The problem is, for some reason on 5.4U, trying the exploits through your website results in a crash, but if I take any of your folders from the personal hosting zip you supplied and host it through XAMPP, it works flawlessly.
