Read up on it and no one seems to be having problems and apparently vWii is untouched, want to be absolutely sure before I do homebrew. Can anyone confirm?

Still on the fence to be honest....

Many people said vWii is safe on 5.2.0, why still having doubt about this? WiiU mode is something, while vWii is something else. If someone only cares about vWii, there's no reason to avoid update. Nothing would be lost, just as every previous updates.

Don't know, sometimes pusillanimity (cowardice) gets the better of me lol.

You can always check Wiimpersonator to see what was added/modified. The latest update was the first to include vWii changes in awhile, but it just updates the System Menu, presumably for the EULA (which was updated). Nothing was changed for homebrew.

In other worse, no real cause for concern, as whatever exploits are being worked on will work on newer firmware or at least, we won't have another 3DS like situation?

If people here said something is safe, most likely it is. You souldn't be afraid of anything.

Well, okay, hopefully all those error messages I've heard about aren't commonplace; many people couldn't download the update initially.

Well on the Wii U side I have no idea. I'm just talking about the vWii side.
