Hacking 4.1E hacks.ini!

I don't get why is there so much different types of hacks listed for the 4.1U/4.1E. I've read the functions of each hack and they literally do the exact same thing; ex. Force Disc Region 1 and Force Disc Region 2. What's worst is that some of the hacks don't even work such as the Region Free hacks(which includes all the other region free hacks that has the exact same function)when I attempt to insert the NTSC-J game.

I have a bit of a problem here, I've tried every hacks.ini I could find (also the ones on wiibrew wiki) and none works, Preloader still gives me error 'no hacks found', and my systemmenu is v386 (3.4e).
Is there anything I'm not getting? Should I reinstall the thing?

3.4 has no hacks.ini

have you ever LOOKED at your hacks.ini file?
Do you see anything like version=386?

If yes, then you need to use a different SD card. You CAN'T use most SDHC cards with preloader.
If no.. then like the post above me says (I got ninjad.. darn it) you don't have hacks for it.

If you really wanted to there are tutorials around that tell you how to convert the codes so you can probably MAKE a hacks.ini for 3.4e if you really wanted to.

Personally, I say stop being a wussy and upgrade to at least 4.1 already.

Haha ok, that's one good bit of advice there! I will stop being a wuss and upgrade already.
Is there any advice against updating from 3.4e to 4.0/4.1 with Preloader already installed? I'd guess not but hey, no harm in asking

preloader will be gone (sort of) when you upgrade.
You'll need to reinstall it.
