Homebrew 3rd party GC controller issue in Nintendont

I'm having problems with my third party gamecube controller my controller is wired and I've tried using it in all ports and it doesn't work in any. i've also tried using it with native controls turned on and off but there is no response at all. The controller has a turbo and clear buttons and when the turbo button is pressed the led button lights up on the contoller but there is never any response in game. Is it possible that I need to configure it in someway? Or should I just wait and get a new controller :/

does it work in homebrew channel? if it doesn't work there, probably you should look to get a new one..
homebrew channel does support the gamecube controllers out of the box, if it works there then maybe you are missing something with nintendont

Nah it doesn't work on the homebrew channel so I'll just get a new one thank you


Ps. I only made my account 30 mins ago with Facebook so that's why my photo is that... I will change it now
