Hacking 3dz or 3ds

Im in the process of downloading a game. (Super Mystery Dungeon). However, i believe it has some online things, such as DLC. Should i convert my game to a 3dz file? (+ my private header) or is 3ds fine?

Why don't you install the DLC in cia format? (if this is not what you want then just use .3dz for online)

If you're able to make it a .3dz yourself, absolutely.

you should download the DLC with your original cartridge since you are just using the download version (3ds 3dz) as a backup.
