Hey, I've had an issue with the blinking blue light, but somehow fixed it by pressing home and power at the same time and it booted the console. However, I was wanting to update my luma to the newest version and after doing a system update (which was instructed by a Youtube video I'm watching), I can't get the system to boot anymore. I've uploaded the new luma and everything. Any ideas what happened and how to fix it?

Second, what luma version you had before updating and what version was your system before updating?
Honestly, don't remember neither of those things. All I can say is I didn't touch my 3DS for around 6 years. I stopped using it in spring of 2016

If you're sure the new version of Luma is on your SD card, then that suggests the 3DS might not be reading the SD card anymore. You can try again with another properly-formatted SD card with only boot.firm and boot.3dsx.

I don't know a lot about 3DS modding but it sounds like possibly you upgraded from pre-Luma 8 to Luma 11 which caused issues.

If you were upgrading from Luma 7.1, all you need to do is update Boot9strap: https://3ds.hacks.guide/updating-b9s

If you were updating from pre-Luma 7.1, you should have done this before upgrading: https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s

Most likely, which means he needs to update b9s from a9lh. here's the guide @juliusbuc.
Btw, make sure you can access Luma3DS menu or GodMode9 when holding either the "start" button or "select" on boot..

I can't access the Luma3DS menu as of now by pressing Start or Select buttons whilst powering on. Do I still update to b9s from a9lh right away or do I do something else beforehand?
