Homebrew 3DS Will Not Update

I noticed 11.5.0-38 came out and so I tried to update and failed. Repeated trials fail in the same progress. Recovery mode has the same result. I'm not sure why but I think it's because of the modified home menu but that's just a theory. The 3DS is a New 3DS XL on 11.4 with Boot9Strap.

This happened to me right after modding a 3DS once. I was seemingly trapped on 9.2. The first option about changing the DNS worked for me, so it's worth a shot. I changed it back afterward and the error never occurred again.

Try reinstalling the default home menu, updating, then putting your old one back.
