I was playing Pokémon OR when my 3ds simply turned of its led and started to make a buzzing sound coming from speakers and the power led flashing non stop. It won't stop no matter what i do and i'm really confused. What could possibly have happened? And what can i make for it to stop?

Your 3DS is most likely dead

What makes you say that could be something loose in there.

I now understand what you said, if it doesn't turn off after pressing the power button for 20 seconds then the MCU chip has some problem. Try removing the battery and powering it on again.

Did you hold the power button for 20 seconds?

I hate to say this but if u can't find one lying around the house they are abt 2 to 3 dollars at home depot or the dollar store if u have one of those its a size 0 screwdriver. Hope that helps. Yes I made sure I bought one of those as soon as I picked up a new 3ds xl. I was a Lil ticked that ninty would do that but hey whatever it is cumbersome tho.

If holding it down for that long doesn't turn it off it probably means the MCU chip is dead or it's state has corrupted. If it doesn't turn back on after removing the batery, you'll probably need a new motherboard :(

That means,if it doesn't turn on again,it's easier buying another 3DS?

Also, another question: Is this simply random to happen? I mean, does it simply happen? Or was it my fault somehow that it happened? Kinda of weird it happened all out of sudden

    Perhaps the battery is dead.

Actually, could it be that as well. I tried to charge it and the charging led didn't come up. But maybe it's nothing realated to battery. I really doubt it,since it simply stopped working when i was playing

The MCU chip also controls the LEDs, so that doesn't mean anything. If it was a dead battery, conecting the charger without the battery would light the charging led for a moment afaik. If you can't remove the battery you'll have to wait until it drains completly and the console turns off. Using a knife to remove the screws is a solution aswell.

It can take a while to do so, that's why I said to use a knife as an screwdriver, it works for me :P
