Actually, that just puts us back at square one. And square one is debate.

*sigh*

I prefer to suggest that it removes square one to begin with. If you tell someone that there is a difference, than they will see one, even when all the evidence proves there isn't. I'm sure I read in one of the other threads that someone asked a Nintendo employee, who told them that NOTHING was changed in regards to the DS graphic routines. Which is the closest thing to actual evidence there is, but people refuse to listen and they see differences just because someone suggested it to them.

Top is better because it's not crooked...

If you really want to get real data you need to capture the video signal of each device, not takes pictures of the screens. That way both would be identical.

Well the thing is I popped in my HeartGold and saw a difference before I even found out. I won't argue that there was a difference, because I have no proof and nothing to base a theory off of, and the fact that my memories could have altered themselves after hearing about this rumor to make me think there was a difference, but even so I can't let go of it, not yet.

There is not much they can actually do to improve the 256x192 -> 320x240 upsampling. I guess they are already using the bicubic interpolation ? Yeah, they could do Lanczos, but the improvement would be barely noticable, with some additional artifacts.
