Hardware 3DS volume increases on its own

The volume has been increasing on its own on my 3DS, the volume slider is set to the lowest but the volume will slowly increase. If I slide the slider up and then back down, the volume goes to 0 but immediately starts to increase again.

Do I have a faulty MCU?

I'm having the same problem on my n2dsxl. I have no idea how to fix it.
