Uhm, this topic kinda suggests a drought - I don't see that coming yet.

I play sometines on the way to/from work and every now and then in the evening in front of the TV.

I finished Pilotwings (will go back to it to get more perfect scores and more unlocks in free flight)
Played Super Monkey Ball for some time
Now I'm in Ghost Recon
I haven't unwrapped Street Fighter yet.
Soon it's time for Zelda OOT 3D and Resident Evil 3D.

I still play DQ VI and have some other DS games..
Then I can complete Donkey Kong Country, Mario Galaxy 2 and Twilight Princess on Wii...

Too much to play! AAAHhH!

Unfair question.
At the moment I'm sick and when I'm sick I don't play games.
And I got sick mid-way through portal 2 damnit!
Really? When I'm sick I play even more games than usual.
Most people probably do, but I feel like I won't enjoy it as much as when I'm not wiping my nose very 2 minutes and sneezing all over the screen/feeling drowzy.
I want to give the game my full attention, which I can't do when sick.
I barely do anything sick though, for the same reason.

I lost interest in Nintendogs and am playing Puzzle Bobble Universe at the moment.
It's a bit light on the content and variation but it's still fun to play, unfortunately the puzzle mode doesn't let you turn the aiming guide off.

But I still like it a lot more than Super Monkey Ball 3D.

(im talking in the "older gamer" perspective)

For me, good games are games that when you put them down and go on with your life, after a few hours you will be thinking about the game and do some strategizing in your head, and getting excited to turn on your system again to play that game.

I don't feel that on ANY of the launch games of 3DS. and im not expecting much on June releases either.
I bought SSFIV, Pilotwings, Nintendogs, Rayman, Ridge Racer, and Samurai Warriors the week after the 3DS launch. Starting April 13, i got tired of the 3DS games, and I bought myself a PSP Go just to play Dissidia 012 and Patapon 3. (then hacked it to get ISOs too, lolzzz)

actually, our so-called "hyped-awesome-games-to-be-released" Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Starfox 64 are just PLAIN freaking REMAKES. I couldn't care less about the graphical overhaul.

I care more about the story, the gameplay, and content. What's new? Wii style graphics, and perhaps a number of new items/accessories. What i personally like about playing games in a new system is originality. With Zelda and Starfox on the 3DS, i will have already known what will happen to the Deku tree after I kill Gohma inside it. I've played through it a few times with my N64 before, then twice through Project64 emulator.

Sure, DoA Dimensions is a new game but not everyone plays fighters. It will only take a short amount of time before I (or some other gamers) get tired of fighting the same shit. Resident Evil Mercenaries? Please, I have a gamecube, a wii, a ps3, a x360 and a PC for that. The only good games I guess i am excited about coming out this year(?) are Super Mario 3DS, Kid Icarus and RE:Revelations and hopefully a good SquareEnix/Capcom game.

I see Nintendo now as an evil scientist creating a zombie army. And now their focusing on Wii2. Ahhh, a 6-inch, 2 pound handheld... uh controller?

I only play every now and then. I got a ps3 and a wii. Havnet played the wii in about 6months. the ps3 i play almost ever day, if not then every other.
The 3ds i only got lego star wars and street fighter, which i thought were the best games out to date.
but if big N brings out some better games then i will probably play it alot more. Same thing happen to the psp. a few good games cam out and i played the hell out of them then i put the psp back in its box till something better came out

Now which one of those are portable?

Not like everyone play those games. People who like fighters would be thinking about the game as well just like it seem you would with a puzzle/strategy game.

I just play my DS games and some homebrew on my 3DS just cause I like to

I don't play SSFIV anymore....it lost its appeal to me...

Sorry, that was just my negative side ranting..

Anywho, I don't see a difference between a console game played inside a room and a console game played out and about, either. Portable experience? Sure.
The thing is, as of right now, we're thirsty for games, the 3DS really has a very small library right now. You get as much as you can. And the selection is
not much, at leas not much good. I spent more than $200 for the games just to prolong my interest on the 3DS but it hasn't reached a month.

If you can get online multiplayer with Zelda, and/or streetpass trophies(yay?), sure it is new content. But core game, it's still the same. Be it portable or not.
My point is that many of us (who have played these remakes before) already spoiled the story, you know, like replaying a BETAMAX video in a new BLURAY format.

(this is a single case but i have a netbook that can run Project64 and n64 games, which i take everywhere with me)
(another case, if you really want the sense of portability is that Android devices, like my Samsung Vibrant can run a N64 emulator now. Zelda 64 on Android?

)

I'm not playing on it as much as I really should to justify an investment of its magnitude, but I do play regularly enough to keep it around. I dip in and out of Street Fighter for a few minutes here and there, will happily spend over an hour on Ridge Racer every couple of days, Samurai Warriors drains a fair chunk of my time when I fire it up. Puzzle Bobble didn't take long to complete (hence why it's on the trade pile) and Pilotwings seems to have taken a back seat lately, but it'll see more play when I get some time off work.

Truth be told the system is just waiting patiently for the big guns to come play. Mario, Zelda, Starfox, Metroid, F-Zero, Smash, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, maybe even an Ace Combat game (the PSP got two and even the iPhone got one, which bugs the crap outta me 'cause my Galaxy S isn't compatable
mad.gif
) so yeah, it'll justify itself a hundred times over in the near future.

I played it quite a bit for the first week. I then got an iPad 2, and ... well yeah the 3DS is collecting dust. Battery life is quite bad, and I only had Pilotwings and SSFIV, so... yeah.

I've been playing my 3DS almost every day since launch. Mostly I take it to work to count my steps, earn coins, and hopefully get a streetpass. I completed Rayman 3D, which is the first game I've finished in a long time, and I really enjoyed it. I played a chunk of Rabbids: Travel In Time, but then I stopped to play Lego Star Wars. I own seven games, and sometimes alter between them.

I realize that I've barely touched the AR games and Face Raiders, so those are next on my list. I also come home from work and check Eighteen's thread with the GC/Wii 3D pics, as those are always fun to check out. I'm really loving my 3DS, which isn't surprising, since I played my DS Lite almost every day leading up to March 27th.

I used it to play through Pokémon Black, but ever since then 99% of its use is from playing Find Mii whenever I met a friend with a 3DS and got a Street Pass hit, or for Face Raiders to demonstrate the unit to friends. I have Ghost Recon in my 3DS and actually want to play, but can't really get warm with it so I play it like once every 3-4 days and only for maybe 15-20 minutes.
If the eStore was online I'd probably have spent half a fortune on it already trying to fight the boredom.

not much ever since i beat samurai warriors. I want to play pilot wings but i dont want to spend 40 bucks on a game i think isn't worth that price. I got ridge racer, which i hattttttttttte and would gladly trade it for another game >.>

2-4 Hours a day. I play during my freetime waiting for my classes to start at the university. Also when i get home and finish hw i can get sucked into ssf4 for a long time anyway. I've already put around 40 hours for ssf4
