(im talking in the "
stingy gamer" perspective)
For me, good games are games that when you put them down and go on with your life, after a few hours you will be thinking about the game and do some strategizing in your head, and getting excited to turn on your system again to play that game.
I don't feel that on ANY of the launch games of 3DS. and im not expecting much on June releases either.
I bought SSFIV, Pilotwings, Nintendogs, Rayman, Ridge Racer, and Samurai Warriors the week after the 3DS launch. Starting April 13, i got tired of the 3DS games, and I bought myself a PSP Go just to play Dissidia 012 and Patapon 3. (then hacked it to get ISOs too, lolzzz)
actually, our so-called "hyped-awesome-games-to-be-released" Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Starfox 64 are just PLAIN freaking REMAKES. I couldn't care less about the graphical overhaul.
I care more about the story, the gameplay, and content. What's new? Wii style graphics, and perhaps a number of new items/accessories. What i personally like about playing games in a new system is originality. With Zelda and Starfox on the 3DS, i will have already known what will happen to the Deku tree after I kill Gohma inside it. I've played through it a few times with my N64 before, then twice through Project64 emulator.
Sure, DoA Dimensions is a new game but not everyone plays fighters. It will only take a short amount of time before I (or some other gamers) get tired of fighting the same shit. Resident Evil Mercenaries? Please, I have a gamecube, a wii, a ps3, a x360 and a PC for that. The only good games I guess i am excited about coming out this year(?) are Super Mario 3DS, Kid Icarus and RE:Revelations and hopefully a good SquareEnix/Capcom game.
