Hardware 3ds technical problem

hello all, ok so my daughters 3ds stopped working one day. when you turned it on the blue light came on then the thing went straight off agion. today after 3 months being in a draw we turned it on and it did the same thing. but here is the weird bit, when I held the console upright and turned it on its come on working perfectly, but when its laid flat and turned on it instantly turns off again.i sent to a repair shop 3 months ago and the said it was un-repairable. does anyone have any ideas?

If it is unrepairable they should replace it.

Try to open up the batterycover! Put a thick paper on the cover(place where the battery is)

It might be a simple contact issue.

no I used a local game shop to send it off, I have been thinking of Nintendo though. we replaced the batter but ill give your idea a try
