Guys what's the latest/best version to use? I found something called Rom Tool 3.1 by 3DS_Guy and it's close to a year old. And then there's CTR 1.6 - Crappy Tiny Reader. My Sky3DS is arriving tomorrow and i'm just getting things ready.

Use rom tool. And don't trim CARD2 games. (Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS, Tomodachi Life, Animal Crossing New Leaf, etc..)

Thanks for the tips, really appreciate it. I'm chinese but i'm having a lot of trouble understand what the discussions are on the chinese forums; just not used to all the chinese game titles and slang.

Prove it. I have not to this day seen anyone who has been successful with trimming Pokemon Y.
They figured out how to trim card2 ages ago, I don't remember the name of the program that automatically does it, but if you change a few things in the header it adjusts the save offset.

I know it's possible to trim CARD2. But I've only seen it work with VC/eShop stuff that's CARD2. Not Pokemon.

Like I said, prove it. I would love for someone to prove me wrong on this, because if it is possible, I'd actually like to know how to do it.

Is it CTR 1.6?.. cause looking through it does seem more advanced. I won't be choosing Pkmon though. Mostly sticking to RPGs.

Pokemon Y doesn't work when trimmed. Pls stop lying.
Where would it store the save data if you removed that part of the file?

I'm begging for someone to prove me wrong. But Asia81 and Abcdfv aren't proving anything.

Yeah, I'm calling both of you out.
