Well I mean the DSI also has its DSI exclusives
Other than DSiWare, I am unaware of any. If you're talking about DSi features in DS games, it's not the same.

And they were exactly the same size/shape and design, like with the DS and DSi exclusives.

Some GBC games could also be played in black on white on the original Gameboy, like GTA as an example.
Those were Game Boy games with GBC features (color).

No, I have cartridges at home which clearly state 'Gameboy Colour' on them, and they play on my gameboy pocket (I lost my big grey one a while ago), and I have never owned a Gameboy Colour but can still play this game.

And there were a few games which were only for DSi which were not DSi Ware games. Why are you so dedicated to this failing cause?

Did they state "Only for GAME BOY COLOR"?

As for the DSi games, name a few.

They were mostly lame games, but look at this http://kotaku.com/5349422/first-dsi+only-g...h-distinct-look

The link says 'First DSi only games hit stores this fall with distinct look.' That was the first thing that came up in google on a quick search. But the games have been mentioned on GBATemp before, its just they mostly sucked so I do not recall the names.

And really, I don't recall ever seeing a 'Gameboy Colour only' game. The idea was to have them backwards compatible so that people who really wanted to play them would not have to buy a gameboy colour.

(oh, and you know, there is a 'u' in the word colour

Well played, I now know of DSi Exclusive cartridges.

There is no "u" in the word "color".

Man, I meant in general. I know in America you like to mis-spell things and pronounce them wrong, but to me it will never be 'color' and always 'colour' as this is the original spelling.

Well ok, I know they say 'only for gameboy colour', but every game I ever had that said was for gameboy colour worked fine on my gameboy pocket to my recollection you know...

I sense some hostility toward Americans...

And besides, we can and do pronounce "R"s. Why don't you?

Ok, whatever. We digressed. The Gameboy Colour was and is included as one console with the Gameboy and Gameboy Pocket. No more, no less.

And all my games worked on the older consoles.

And thank you BlueStar

Update: I just bothered to check and yes, yes you can play gameboy colour only games on an original gameboy.

Lol GTA on GB. Pro.

ive checked when the gbc came out and it just gives you an error message that this game can only be played on a gameboy color system

It's true. Not because of the link, but because it is. The kind of buzz 3DS will build with a holiday launch will be nuts. There certainly won't be enough to go around and that will make it the coveted unfindable treasure of the season. It would be a terrible mistake to hold it until the spring.

Also about GBC being a remodel or new system, I've had lengthy debates about this and the conclusion is always that GBC is in fact a new system.

I just hope that it comes out in the US around that time as well. I don't care if it can't be hacked. I am willing to go out and purchase a few games for this system

I think Ninty made a mistake calling this thing the 3DS. It sounds like a finicky upgrade like the DSi. I've asked some people if they're getting it, and sometimes they tell me that they 'already have a DS.'

In any case, Nintendo would be fools to release this right after Christmas. Most people will have cleaned out their bank accounts, and they'd be giving a much bigger chunk of Christmas sales to the PSP.

Maybe they'll surprise us and change the name at the last moment. By now though, I'd've thought we'd know the final name, so perhaps 3DS really is the final, definitive name.

I sense some hostility toward Britons...

And besides, I can and do pronounce the letter R, just like any other native English speaker. If you're bashing a British accent, however, you shouldn't be so naïve as to assume that all British citizens speak in the same way. There are numerous accents and dialects on this side of the pond, after all (just like in any other country).

Why should it matter if we spell or pronounce things differently, in any case? I can't think of a time where I've heard an American word that I haven't understood. And if there's one thing I can't stand, it's Americans or British trying to correct one other's English. It's no secret that English is one of the least consistent and most confusing languages on this crazy planet, so there's no use in fussing over how one spells the word colo(u)r (though it can't be disputed that the correct spelling of Nintendo's third Game Boy is in fact 'color', as it is a brand name). It really is trivial.

Anyway, to try and make some kind of an on-topic contribution to this thread, I'll just add that it is in Nintendo's best interests to release the 3DS before Christmas. They are hoping to sell the thing, after all.
