Hello all, I've recently used the fredtool/boot9strap installation for my 3DS and I've used FBI to install some CIAs and some games. Everything has been working fine however recently I've noticed that my games. I'll play, save, and exit; however when I open the game back up, it goes back to where I was originally as if I never saved in the first place, and it does this with all of my digitally downloaded games, both purchased and installed via FBI. Any sort of help as to why this is happening would be great, I've tried to do some digging online with no luck so here I am.

Maybe the SD is in read only mode. (No, I do not mean the switch/slider on a full sized SD – that gives an error on Home Menu and installed games do not show up).

Check if you can write to the SD normally with GodMode9 and/or with a computer and try copying all your data to a different, known good SD.
  1. Copy all your data from the SD to a computer. Reformat the SD to FAT32, 32kb cluster size, if bigger than 32GB and using Windows with guiformat.
  2. Check your SD Windows, Linux, OS X.
    • If you get any errors replace the SD.
    • If you get no errors copy your files back on the SD.

Just get a new one - buy from a brick and mortar store if you can. Avoid ebay unless it is an official listing from a big chain. Avoid Amazon third party sellers. Avoid any online stores unless they're from a large, well recognised store and not online-only.
