@SylverReZ I found the problem & I was able to fix it, So I didn't encrypt the games in order to play them, Do you have any encryption tool which I can use on pc to encrypt large file games because I can't move large file games to fat32 sd card to encrypt them on gmod9

The FAT32 file system has a limit where you cannot transfer files higher than 4GB. It's not advisable to re-format the card to exFAT as the 3DS can only support FAT/FAT32, so if you have a 64GB SD card, you must reformat it using the FAT32 Format Tool GUI to set the correct file system. When copying larger games, do one at a time and don't copy multiple.

I know fat32 can't move 4gb or above file, If I want to encrypt a 4gb file game how do I do it? Is there any encryption tool for pc or I have to do something about the 4gb games In order to fit them in my sd for gmod9? Do you have the encryption tool that we use to use in the old days of gateway, If you can share with me that tool, It would be very helpful... :)

You cannot unpack compressed archives in GodMode9, so nope. However, you can trim larger 4GB+ 3DS ROMs using NDSTokyoTrim.

I did trim the rom (pkm sun) then I encrypted it & then I restored the trim rom & moved it to sd, It loads up but gets stuck at saving, Is this an issue with this specific rom or I need a high speed sd? & if yes what cluster size do I need to format it on?

I for one have no idea what you're doing. Most people who want to install games to their SD card seem to just use .cia files.

SD speed makes no difference on a 3DS.

Need to convert the ROM from card-1 to card-2. Also, Pokemon X/Y & Sun/Moon do not like being trimmed.

SD card cluster size has got nothing to do with this. Why do you need to switch questions?

Because I moved on from large file games problem to now making them work somehow, I did card1to2 but the game loads up saying you have a corrupted save data then when you try to delete the data it says an error has occurred & you have to power off the console, I've tried many things but still can't make it work, do you know the solution for this?

Hello, I recently joined this forum to ask for help / support. (Feel free to move my question into another thread if this is the wrong place)

Basically I discovered it 2 days ago that my New Nintendo 3DS XL has Luma CFW installed. I bought it from a refurbisher site & it was factory resetted before I got it, so there is only the Luma menu accessible through the Select button & the Rosalina menu accessible through Download Play and the button combination.

As I would like to keep the CFW to add new stuff on my 3DS (most likely games & themes once I know how it works), I'd like to know what I need to do next as I am completly new to this whole 3DS modding stuff.

Luma Version is 13.2.1., the 3DS system is updated to the latest version.

Thank you in advance. 😊🎮

First, download both fbi.3dsx and fbi.cia. Make a folder called 3ds and put the fbi.3dsx in there, you can put the fbi.cia wherever you want
then In Rosalina menu in miscelaneous there should be an option that says Switch the hb. title to the current app, So enter an app that you don't use and use that option. Exit the app and enter again and you should be in homebrew launcher. You should see fbi, launch it. In fbi search for the fbi.cia and install it. After it's complete, you can close it. Now you should have fbi installed on the home screen. Use that one to install homebrew, gba or other interesting apps like https://github.com/bernardogiordano/checkpoint/releases for backing up savegames or https://github.com/mtheall/ftpd to use ftp nd not have to take out the sd card everytime

Thanks for the quick answer 😊 where do I create the 3DS folder? Do I have to take out the 3DS SD card and move the downloaded files on there?

Edit: I just downloaded fbi.3dsx & fbi.cia on my phone and created a 3DS folder. Is it safe to store both on the same folder? I'll move the folder to the SD card if that is the next step & if it is safe to keep both fbi files in the 3DS folder.

Yes, sorry for not specifying, the 3ds folder has to be on root of the sd card. And yeah, there's no problem having both the cia file and the 3dsx one in the same folder. I usually make a folder on the root called Cias and put them there since cia files don't matter where they are. 3dsx files have to be in the 3ds folder in order to appear on the homebrew launcher

UPDATE: I just managed to boot FBI over the Download Play app.

Another huge update: Managed to find out how to download stuff via the QR code feature and got my hands on Checkpoint & the other app you linked me. Big thank you from me 🤩

first check it with h2testw (link is in my signature) to make sure it's not fake or faulty. check both the read and write capability of the sd card. if it passes the test, format it as FAT32 32kb clusters (unless it's 128gb or larger then do 64kb clusters) and then follow this to get your cfw setup back. tho your game data and saves etc should remain lost, there's nothing to do about that.

So I'm using a North American release of SSB 3DS on a region-changed Japanese 3DS and tried to update the game through HShop. The game launches, but it's just a black screen. I tried uninstalling the update and any data for the game to see if that would fix it, to no avail. Is there a reason this happened, and is there a way to reverse it?

Changed to NA?
and tried to update the game through HShop. The game launches, but it's just a black screen.
the game worked before installing the game update, right?
try importing seed in fbi. to do that launch fbi, and go to "titles" and scroll to SSB and hit options, then "import seed". you have to be connected to the internet btw

If the game worked before the update this issue doesn't make sense and could be an sd card problem. and if you installed the game and immediately afterwards the update, it's probably cause SSB is an extended memory game and with the system region changed those won't work until you apply the fix. the fix is covered in the guide (Section VI) if you indeed followed it, unless you skipped that part?

Yes, I did change it to North America; it did work before the update, and no, I did not install the game. Thank you for providing instructions on a fix, although I can't actually try it right now because I'm installing games to it, but I'll tell you if it works. Also, I was wondering if it would be possible to install the update and then do the fix so I could still use the update?

and no, I did not install the game.
so you're using a physical cartridge?

as already stated by you that it worked before the update and after the region change, thus you must've applied the fix already for the extended memory mode, so doing it again won't do anything.
Also, I was wondering if it would be possible to install the update and then do the fix so I could still use the update?
sure, the update shouldn't be the issue. If you just modded your 3ds and didn't use h2testw to check the sd card for errors, then i highly recommend doing it, im not saying it's the cause of your problem but could be. Just make sure to empty it, copy the content of the sd card somewhere safe on your pc, and do the test, it will tell you if it's good to use or not.
now back to your issue, i'd suggest uninstalling the game, re-downloading the game (preferably from a different source, same for the update) & reinstalling it and trying again. also make sure to import seed in fbi.
