Hello,
I had to replace a few parts of my old 3ds, which I had for years
While doing this, a few bad things happened, like me breaking the flat cable of my top screen and messing up the connectors of my bottom screen.
I bought new of those and when I connected everything again, it doesn't boot, the red power led doesn't even light up with only the battery connected
Then, as a troubleshoot step, I disconnected absolutely everything from the motherboard and when I connect it to the power source, the red power led stays on for about 4 seconds then it turns off. It doesn't boot if I try to press the power button during that time.
My question is:
Is this a clear sign that the motherboard is dead or it doesn't turn on anyway if everything is not connected? I was expecting to at least see the leds confirming that it is working, and maybe see something when I connect the bottom screen.

going over exactly what you have to and don't have to connect isn't going to help the OP
being snarky isn't going to help the op
