Which guide did you use? Could you link to it here? be it video or whatever, we need to know what guide you used before we can help fix it.

I am guessing you are using a video guide to downgrade your 3ds to install the A9LH exploit......
STOP RIGHT THERE AND DO NOT FOLLOW ANY MORE VIDEO GUIDES THEY WILL END UP FUCKING UP YOUR SYSTEM
take your SD card out of your 3ds and try and turn it on, and let me know what happens

Downgrading to 2.1 hasn't been a thing for 11 months. What year is this?

Use ntrboot to install a ctrtransfer image of 11.5 to fix it.
That's probably the only good option here. You need a DS flashcart compatible with ntrboot, and if you don't have another DS/3DS to flash it with, you'll need one that comes pre-flashed such as the R4i Gold Plus.

Please just stop following that guide and follow this guide instead
https://3ds.hacks.guide/
Any guide that suggest downgrading is flat out of date and don't follow it.

To answer your question if there is another way to fix your mistake.... yes you can hardmod it. However barring that NTRbootHAX is your only hope at this point. You have hard bricked and will be unable to do anything without either of those two. And neither is "free" and a hardmod is Ill advised if you aren't skilled in soldering.

I am good at soldering, so how would i go about doing a hard mod. and what is this ntrboothax you speak of.

You could have done it for free and in about ten minutes all up if you had come here BEFORE having problems, and so known to use the proper guide rather than a video guide.
I am now aware of this.

The cheapest ntrboothax compatible card is about $10.

You need a working console of some sort to actually flash that one though.

NTRBoot uses just a DS flashcart that's flashed with boot9strap and a magnet to boot the system straight into an arbitrary AMR9 payload (so, SafeB9SInstaller or GodMode9). It'd be very helpful to have one in this case, as you could boot your 3DS straight into GodMode9 and use it to fix your broken firmware issue.

If you'd rather solder and are confident enough in your abilities to do it, here is the guide page for it. It should contain a link to a thread here that goes over the actual hardmodding part.

I generally suggest NTRBoot as it is both safer and a more permanent solution (just keep the flashcart and you can easily hack or fix software issues like yours in any 3DS system).
