Hacking 3DS hard brick recoverable?

I was following Plailect's guide and everything went smoothly up until the 2.1 downgrade. OTPHelper's One Click Setup ran fine but upon reboot the screens won't even turn on. No recovery menu possible or anything like that.

Is this type of brick recoverable? If so, does anyone in Melbourne, Vic, Australia do it?

I supposed you backed up your NAND before going to the 2.1 downgrade right? You can flash it back with a NAND Hardmode.

If you have a backup of your sysnand and a hardmod then yes. If not you heave a very nice paperweight. As for people wo do hardmods i think there was a list somewhere on the site.

Yeah, I have the backups. I'm no good at soldering (and don't have the equipment anyway). Anyone in Australia (or hell, anywhere, although shipping might be a bitch) who could do it?

Definitely sounds like a hard brick... Now I'm curious what happened! In any case, you'll want to commission a hardmodder in your location. There's a thread listing various modders by region here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/list-of-hardmod-installers-by-region.414224/

However, I don't see anyone offering it in Australia... unless someone speaks up here?

Yeah I'm not sure what happened... I guess I derped up without realising it.

From what you said in the first post, it is most likely something in the downgrade files (wrong version/region). Or simply bad luck, this stuff is never 100% safe.
