Hardware 3DS hands on

Well not that long ago (earlyer today) a 3DS was placed into my grubby little hands
the Europe Version full english, none of this import stuff
i was told no photos allowed or Nintendo come down on my ass
so here what i felt in text form

Well the screen is almost creepy. 3d pictures taken with the camera are really clear. If you don't look head on you see the picture 3 times lol.
Icons on bottom screen fairly small (like almost 1/3 of the size of a iphone icon, must of been a layout setting)
Took about 3 seconds for my eyes to adjust.
AR cards take a few seconds to load. Turn on time is about 15 seconds.
Also really light in weight. Lighter than my mobile (i have a HTC Desire HD)
slightly larger than a Nintendo DSI but feel great to hold
the 3D effect is at its best when you hold it as if you where holding a news paper

Seems interesting, can't be much different than the JP 3DS. Can you let us (me really lol) know if the analog nub seems to come off when pulled upwards?

lol well it is in a dip so the stick is flush with the main bottom screen and i didn't try to jamb my nail under it and lift it
i bet if it had come off i wouldn't have walked away with working legs

i had all the icons on the bottom screen in a table like format
there was LOADS of room for more

You do know that the 3DS menu has different icon display options right?

And was it easier to focus after the first time, any problems when looking down at the touchscreen and back again?

well it was almost instant the very first time
after that i didnt notice

if you hold it straight you wouldn't realize you eyes had focused

thats the system
but u can put in sleep mode and its instant but obviously slowly drains the battery

it has a little start boot screen

two little red Water drops that ripple (on on the left, one on the right)
then the 3DS logo shows in the middle

after watching that video

you see when he presses the power button it gives him 2 options but he just shuts the lid

you see the loading screen very briefly on that video when he starts the game

lol just found out today so info about UK stock and cost

TESCO's get there selling stock in on the 22nd of March (sworn to staff not allowed to leave until the 25th)
guess the price
£142.99!!!!!!
i was like HOLY ****!!!
staff also get a further 10% but only allowed one each

how much money are shops gonna make on these i wonder

that £142.99 was a few weeks ago and 'accidental' only a few people got it and they had to accept a refund.
