Gaming 3DS Game Update Data on the E-shop

So with updates, they don't show on the menu as that little present that needs to be clicked?

Downloaded all the update, they all show as downloaded if I go back into eshop. But nothing appeared on the main menu, so I assume they just download straight to sd, nothing else needing to be done?

yup

the e-shop will say there downloaded on the SD card and thats it
you can check what ones you have got by selected it again on e-shop and it will say "downloaded" and be greyed out

going into data management will delete them tho so make sure SD card backup up with them on just in case

Will downloading the update in another 3ds and then switching sd cards work to update these games or is the save also encrypted to work only in the system it was downloaded?
