Hello guys,
i need some help here
few days ago i picked up my first 3ds, and i dont have any games so i was thinking about buying a flashcard for ds games since my 3ds is on the latest 6.3.0 software and gateway is too expensive anyways
so i wanted to ask for some help
what is the CHEAPEST flashcard i can get for my 3ds and where from since there are so many fake ones

thanks!

ps. ive found some standard r4 cards for around 2-3 bucks
will they do the job? i know they only support 2gb cards, but im fine with that

The problem with fake cards is that they're only good for a few updates, if that. Then you have to buy a new card. For example, the 3DS has had like 2-3 updates since July, so if you'd bought a fake card in July, you would've bought at least one card to replace it with. If you'd rather just buy one card and never have to worry about replacing it because it's out of date, I'd recommend the Supercard DSTWO. You'll find it for around $40USD in most places, but it's well worth it.

thanks, but that is somehow over the budget
im trying to find it as cheap as possible, for like 10$ or less if it is possible
also it doesnt need to have sdhc, a memory card included or card reader, just the flashcard

Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in here, as I've only ever owned one flashcart for my DSi XL, and that was the Acekard 2i which was close to $30USD when I bought it a few years ago. I do have a 3DS XL now, and will be eventually getting a DSTWO for it. But my personal opinion is that you won't get a reliable non-fake card for under $10USD.

hmm ok thanks alot for your help
im short on money atm. so i will wait for someone to come up with a cheaper one :D

First things first.

ONLY THE GATEWAY 3DS PLAYS NINTENDO 3DS ROMS!!!!!!!!!

With that out of my system,

I'm thinking your best bet is the SCDS2, but always do research to find out which card will work for your system software version.

He says for DS games ^^
The DSTwo is clearly the best, the other one you may try is the r4ids.cn
Only r4i cards can work on the 3DS and you have to check for the 3DS version the card can run on. I know r4ids.cn can work on 6.3

You can't find any 3DS compatible DS flashcard under $10 that is actually good and lasts more than 1-3 updates.

r4wood website has NOTHING to do with what yellow goblin does with wood releases.

r4wood website is an online shop, it is NOT official anything.

R4 clones use wood because they can no longer use or hack the a game manager to support newer games anymore.

You can read the message under the red text to understand:
http://gbatemp.net/threads/wood-firmwares-v1-62-update.352802/

All official wood releases are posted on gbatemp, usually posted by Another World.

Really? I'm sorry, I just heard the r4i sdhc is good from my friends. and I only got a gateway 3ds flash card. Could you please talk more about the R4i sdhc? Thank you.
I said enough of the R4i-SDHC. It sucks. X100
I guess your friends like buying 3~5 flashcarts every year for updates.

But with this flash card, I can play many 3ds games after downloading them online with no neccessory to buy the game cards which charges $20+ any more? and if you have any good idea, I would be glad to hear. As a new player, your advice will be very helpful for me and I do appreciate it.

Yeah, no, you can't play 3DS games with ANYTHING other than the Gateway 3DS.

nand emu is emulating the Nand on the sd card so that nintendo updates the emulated nand on the sd card instead of your real nand.
