I got the gauntlet legends arcade machine in storage, I can't lift that thing up a flight of steps.

Not really OK to ask but even less OK for us to tell you in a public forum.....lol. There are a variety of places so you are just going to have to look around. Some people use the old binary servers, some people get them off torrents, some people belong to super clandestine sharing groups :-) I will give you some free help and that is use the 3DS release list page and get the actual scene release name and try googling that or using it in other search engines....thats a place to start.

Thx for actually being helpful! I just saw a terrible movie about google (the internship) and it convinced me not to use Google anymore ... but I guess that's impossible ... I'm pretty sure how_do_i_do_that is my old boss since his reply is exactly the kind of replies I had from my old boss .... istead of telling me something in an easy and efficient way, he took the time to find, copy, paste stuff and added some bold and colors to it haha.

Yes it works look at the OP....only non-working games are AC, Pokemon X/Y, Batman AO, MH4J, and Hometown Story....all other newer games with the 5.1 udpate will work as long as you use GW v1.1 or V1.2 with the firmware spoofing


Pong....this really should be 'stickied' as it is one of the few threads with 'useful' information in this forum. Also and I said this to you in a PM....I wish you would just add one column on your webpage with the GW Version required/working.....I know you said when v2.0 comes out eveything current will likely work rendering it moot, but surely after GW2.0 some game will come out that needs newer than 6.3 FW or has AP or something and won't work. That column would be useful going forward and would be easy to add now as everything right now but a handful of games need GW v1.1+ and these few non-working should get tagged as working when we get GW v2.0 (if they work). Again thanks for all you do but I would like your webpage even more if you added that one column....I know I am a bitchy little nag.

Yes, all games work, apart from all first post games, pongs comment about 5.1 games not working is incorrect, afaik only batman and hometown story use sdk 5.x

found 24 games that will be downloaded looks like 3 wont be able to play if i get a 3DS and gateway unless an emulator comes out thats what im planning for but 24 games = 37 GB which sucks bad

I see that Animal Crossing EUR is not currently compatible, but I was wondering if the USA version has the same issue or not.
The USA version of the game hasn't be 'dumped' yet by a release group, so I don't know if that is why it is not on the unsupported list or not.
Can someone confirm if the USA version has the same issue or not?

the "issue" is not because of the region is because of the game itself, the game doesn't work doesn't matter if USA,EU,JAP.

Animal crossing can't be played (/ saved) with the gateway because it uses a NAND Save Chip. This can't be passed with another region.
Games from different regions could be incompatible because the developers could have used a newer SDK to compile the game for some regions (due to later releases).

"Can't be passed" or do you mean "could possibly be passed"?
It makes since that different SDKs could be used for different Region releases, which is basically why I was asking if the US version.
However, I now see that the US version was released after the (currently) incompatible EUR version, so it likely is also effected.

...but it appears that people wait for the 'Scene' releases for testing compatibility and not testing with a dumped cart if they have it (since I can't find the US version listed in any release logs).

So, I will just wait to try my AC game until my cart is shipped and the Gateway 2.0 update is released. Thanks again!

Especially with how lengthy the Gateway team is between updates.

Zelda will pretty much definitely not work.

Animal crossing is not compatible due to the save chip. Since every Animal Crossing version uses this ship, they're all not compatible.

Gateway wants to fix all games which are currently incompatible with the 2.0 release. The game incompatibility doesn't seem to be very bad yet since it's not really a Anti Piracy meassure as far as I know. The Animal Crossing save chip is just not supported yet.

Just sling them into rom tool and if they show either card2 or NCSD Format: SDK 5.0.0+ they aren't going to work so no need to waste time testing.
