This is a speculation thread.NahuelDS said:sounds very awesome to be real
I said... TOTAL FAKE!

I understand, I always thought that these just required a firmware update to work, I don't know if the SDHC for wii was already implemented since in the beggining you couldn't use SDHC cards. Since they're already using a HC card slot, XC couldnt be that more expensive.nutella5600 said:I by no means meant to offend, but the fact of the matter is that added features = added cost. Nintendo won't invest their time and money into something that would increase the cost of the system to implement something that hasn't even been proven to be successful. Sure, some people may need it, but it's just not worth it. I understand that this is all just speculation, but SDXC is not within reason. Nintendo is very much like Apple, in that they use old, inferior hardware, but they spend a lot of time making sure that hardware works well for the consumer experience.Deathmore said:It was just some speculation thing, didn't say that these feature were going to be included. SDXC card slots support all other SD cards so whats the major problem? I don't know who who would want that memory but somebody might.nutella5600 said:And that's assuming games are going to be out on the SD card in the first place. We still don't know that yet. In any case, using SDXC is not doing Nintendo or us any favours. Its just too much of a risk to put something that a very small minority is gong to use. SDHC is perfectly fine for the majority of people. Also, the 3DS is not going to be used primarily as a multimedia system. It will be capable of playing multimedia, but it will not be primarily a multimedia system and that's the important distinction. SDXC is just unnecessary when SDHC goes up to 32GB.Deathmore said:Well the game sizes are increasing and if nintendo will add multimedia support you will need that space. Personally Im tired of watching films in .DPG format. Also I have a PSP and well 8GB doesn't do it, if the 3DS is hacked, and people will be wanted many games. Remember games could go over 2GB.![]()
anyway not saying that these will be in there, I know most of them won't be in there, just guess as much as your imagination can stretch, I just though of what's missing from current DS.

I mean they should keep that feature since it's suggested that there will be a new online service, and I want it to be compatible with old DS wi-fi gamesdavidsl_128 said:The original DS already lets you transfer your WiFi data (Friend Codes and stuff) to another DS...

is the SDXC even available to the general public!?!? i remember waiting for them to release it a couple years ago and it never happened. if you know where to buy one i would be grateful of you to tell me.Deathmore said:I didn't invent the SDXC ask the SD Association why.mezut360 said:2 tb on a ds why would you even have a 2 tb sd
I don't know how long you've lived for but the SDXC was announced at CES 2009, and was then shown working at CES 2010 and is expect to launch standard sized SDXC cards from 32GB by the end of this year.gameguy95 said:is the SDXC even available to the general public!?!? i remember waiting for them to release it a couple years ago and it never happened. if you know where to buy one i would be grateful of you to tell me.Deathmore said:I didn't invent the SDXC ask the SD Association why.mezut360 said:2 tb on a ds why would you even have a 2 tb sd

ikrMidna said:Since when is Nintendo known for putting bleeding edge, horribly expensive new tech into their devices? That's Sony's gig. The 3DS will not have SDXC.

trumpet-205 said:Do you realize how expensive and un-necessary SDXC is? We don't need it right now.
No, Sony will invent their own proprietary format that nothing else can use.KingVamp said:ikrMidna said:Since when is Nintendo known for putting bleeding edge, horribly expensive new tech into their devices? That's Sony's gig. The 3DS will not have SDXC.Maybe the ps2p![]()

Ouch... I'd rather buy a few 2tb external hard drives for the same price.... And aren't we a little off topic?Brian10122 said:Deathmore said:I don't know how long you've lived for but the SDXC was announced at CES 2009, and was then shown working at CES 2010 and is expect to launch standard sized SDXC cards from 32GB by the end of this year.gameguy95 said:is the SDXC even available to the general public!?!? i remember waiting for them to release it a couple years ago and it never happened. if you know where to buy one i would be grateful of you to tell me.Deathmore said:I didn't invent the SDXC ask the SD Association why.mezut360 said:2 tb on a ds why would you even have a 2 tb sd
