Can you enable Exception Handler and than try to crash the 3DS with the browser crushing or an other way. Than you may result in an reg dump.

Theoretically yes but they disabled the internet browser on SDK units because its not necessary for devs to use. (since devs are 99.999999999999999% of the time going to have a computer with internet access while debugging/devving so they don't need it)

bobby you must be new to the hacking community, dev stands for develupment unit, they are used for making and debugging games

Well, I'm a homebrew developer. I know what dev stands for but I'm confused because it sounds like the dev unit doesn't play games like a flashcart does.

Bobby, a dev 3DS unit looks similar to anyone's 3DS although it has minor color differences (red 3D slider, top is 1/2 white gradient into black) but also can run unsigned code and has access to licensed-only nintendo features. The CTR DevMen launches as "signed" so it can launch unsigned CIA files from the SD card. It can launch 3DS games but they have to be unsigned, and since nintendo doesn't make unsigned games public it cannot run retail games since they're going to be signed code. This does not mean it's useless though.

sorry im fast to make asumptions, but are you questioning wether the unit plays games or the way it plays games.

Ooooh, I understand now! The entire system is the dev unit! I thought it was like an accessory that could be used with any 3DS. Thanks for explaining

Hmmm yeah...thats cool...Wait!? Dev unit What?! I was listening to the conversation about the rage quitter :U

But on topic, It would be nice if someone posted how to get a store unit into dev mode then maybe, some other people who arent lucky enough to have a dev unit could mess around and see what they could do. (not me...I just like fucking with guys at gamestop

I doubt there's any dev mode to be somehow reset to; i don't recall Nintendo doing that. Like PS3/PSP had a similar mode for repairs i guess but Nintendo i guess use a different method.

ifinity you are right nintendo wouldn't be stupid enough to make a dev mode that would just lead to easier hacking

i just want to know could yo make a program that boots from sd card with a dev unit copy to crown 3ds "if it works" and load homebrew

That would take several of "if"s:

1) IF the Crown 3DS is real.
2) IF the Crown 3DS presents it wrong, and likely it will, then no. (Since it is meant to present SIGNED roms; not unsigned roms)
3) IF we get a SDK software for our PCs maybe.
4) We'd need to learn how to code properly to make homebrew for a console, and we barely know anything about how the 3ds runs (behind the scenes; not talking about obvious stuff) currently.

However I don't think the Crown3DS will be necessary. IF we get the 3DS SDK software for PCs leaked we can make channels for Dev 3DS's.

Unfortunately until the private key is dumped and A LOT of research takes place normal 3ds's will not be able to load homebrew for a LONG TIME.

Even we got homebrew to work on Dev 3DS's it would not work on retail copies (ie you would not be able to use 3ds mode homebrew unless you have a dev 3ds) because even if we could get it working on the Dev 3DS we can't sign it yet, so non-Dev 3DS's would not accept/launch it. (Dev 3DS can run unsigned code)

Well if you mean the original video i thought the same thing, but that game isn't released is it?

It's unfortunate for you it's not like a flashcard. The other system devkits are very useful in that regard... Microsoft even let you have everything on XBLA for free with no authentication to get onto the dev network (why??).
Reminds me of my dev PSN with infinite money that could still get online when the main servers went down
