But your not Neimod so why should we Believe you and keep donating?
Because neimoid didn't post that in the first place!

Why should you believe that guy?

Besides, they would have seen this already, and if this was enough, the fundraising page would not be up anymore, and there would be news in the 3dbrew frontpage

Does "KnightCamper" look like "neimoid" to you?

Hi, About the fundrising, the chip as already been decaping by www.chipworks.com. (search for nintendo on store) They sell the layer photo and analysis report 200 USD. Regards
They only sell the first layer, this is not enough for a full analysis.

So can we continue donating or what?

Edit: Nevermind you still can.

Going to donate BIG in a few months.

As usual, I do plan to pitch in, but not until I see a bit more steam for this effort.
If the 3DS exploit does happen to ask for small donations to help improve the quality of unsigned code or find better exploits, that would be totally fine you know?
Ask, not require. But asking will help to reach the $2,000 goal.

User talk: Is when other people talk about neimoid. Neimoid doesn't touch that page. Check the page history again.

I heard paypal is a nono for this fundraiser...
They used to use PayPal, but PayPal froze their funds, so they changed to Skrill.

Well I decided to just go ahead and make that payment.

Uggggh, what a hassle on my Bank's end though. Went I went ahead to make the payment through my online banking, I received an automated phonecall to authentic the payment mere seconds after I clicked the link, and it rang for such a short time that I wasn't able to grab the phone.
So then they disabled my online banking account, I had to phone them up (at 4am no less) and answer a bunch of questions like "Have you ever lived with anyone with this name", "What's the age range of this person you know", "Have you ever lived in one of these areas", and then do the payment again.

No hassle on the Moneybookers side of thing though but after that palava, I got the payment sent through.
Hopefully the fundraiser will have another $30 soon, £18.51 out of my pocket.

Wish I could mail money too them XD I don't have a viable way to make a online payment unless its Paypal, and they made a very controversial move by freezing the fundraiser earlier.

No fooling, Paypal can be real asses like that.

Although if you have any sort of online banking account, then you too can just do an easy payment through Moneybookers, I think.

What will happen is you arrange a payment through Moneybookers by following that donation link, paying whatever sum you put in (eg $30.00).
You'll be taken to a Moneybookers.com page where you either create a new account or log in.
Once you arrange the transfer, you will be given payment transfer details, including Moneybooker's sort code and account number, and your reference number for this transaction.

From there, you need to log into your own online banking account, and find the means to make a payment.
You'll have to enter in the sort code, company name, account number and of course the reference number so that Moneybookers know what the money is for.
You specify the amount to be paid, if you can't specify in USD then use a currency converter like XE to find out the sum you need to put in. For me, it was £18.51.
How things pan out from there, well it all depends how your online banking handles these sorts of payments.
In my case, I received an automated phonecall on my home phone number. SERIOUSLY, be sure to read the online instructions properly, and be prepared to receive the phone call if that's how they're going to do it. If you miss a phonecall like that then it is a serious hassle to sort it out.
After answering the automated phone call and punching in the 4-digit authentication code, the payment was verified and should go through within 24 hours.

That was my experience at least.

In a nutshell, arrange a payment through that Moneybookers form. Take the details you need and use them in your own online banking account.
It really is not all that complicated. Just don't miss any automated phonecalls, sheesh.

If everyone who has viewed this thread donated even 10 Cents then The fundraiser will have raised $4200
The actual payment process though does not make small figures like $1 dollar worth the hassle.

It's not as straight forward as PayPal where smaller figures are better handled.

Well if they could donate 10 Cents then we would have reached the goal
True enough, true enough...

I hesitated a lot to do the donation, I think a lot of other people here are hesitant too.
If Neimod and crew really want to get the fundraiser really rolling, they need to start showing off a really impressive video of 3DS hacks in progress, and say they can REALLY get things rolling, hopefully, if they succeed in decapping the 3DS SoC

Pretty sure total views isn't unique views.

Or is it?
Well, it is a total view counter. It should be the total amount of views the thread has gotten. Would be weird if it was unique views.

edit: Is there even that many people on GBATemp to make that $4200 figure, lol?

I'm sure that there are, GBAtemp got a few hundred in donations when returning from the downtime a few months back.

Like I said, 3Dbrew need to organise a video to demonstrate that they've gotten so far with 3DS hacking, but could get very far with the SoC decapped.

But a Video could result in Nintendo saying "Bye Bye Homebrew forever" and then BAM It never sees the light of day
