Hacking 3ds dead

tried following the frogminer guide and the 3ds bricked before the last step, i deleted the files from my sd card and factory reset my 3ds. it only boots up when i have boot.firm on the sd card and it loads something to do with luma whenever i boot it up, which if i press start it takes me to the home screen. i tried doing this guide again but its not working http: //steelminer.jisagi.net/ WAT DO

First off. You are going to want those files again. One the most funny things seen is people panic the second their 3ds doesnt work. Read EVERY LAST THING on the guide and then proceed to follow it. Something thats actually normal for the console to do until the needed files are gotten.

I already tried redoing steelhax but it didn't boot into Homebrew when I opened steel diver. My 3ds won't turn on without boot.firm and still says sys 11.8 on the settings

Since it says sys 11.8. that is a good sign meaning that cfw was installed correctly. Aswell as it needing the boot.firm also shows it should be mainly done.

I can't do section 2: step 2 on the frogminer guide because steel diver doesn't boot to Homebrew after doing steelhax

Sorry for the late reply I just followed the guide from where I left off before it decided to not boot so it works great now
