Hardware 3DS Circle Pad Rubber

my 3DS circle pad rubber cover fell off a month ago and i lost it, should i get an entire new circle pad to replace it
or should i buy another one online, if i should buy another rubber cover online where exactly should i look as it seems most
places sell just the entire circle pad without the rubber evident by the pink one i recently purchased, feedback is appreciated!

just dab some super glue on the top of the base part of the circle pad and slip the rubber bit back on. There are 2 little circles on each part that you can match, if you don't match them or cut off the circle on the rubber part you will have a small bump on your circle pad which could be annoying

we have some super glue thankfully so if i can find the cover then i'll just do that, thank you sm!

I got 2 new ones from AliExpress for about £3 but the colour was slightly off from official. It was a ball ache to get the old one out since requires twisting it out without trying to snap any plastic but it looks ok and works fine since it's just plastic you're replacing. Super glue might work ok but the rubber is sort of moulded onto the hard plastic underneath so you might find it don't fit quite right adding that layer of glue unless you cleaned it all out. And some glues react badly with rubber and plastics

The circle pad replacements you usually see on the internet are slightly different from official ones, slightly smaller, no rubber but they have a coating that's a bit more grippy, and because of that the concave design feels slightly more pronounced, but I have to say I kinda like it more once I got used to it.

If the analog stick itself (not the part you touch, I mean the mechanism under it) still works well, I see no reason to change the entire thing (if that's whst you're asking).

My N2dsxl developed a drift (bought it used, so I have no idea how much use it got before that) so I had to change the entire thing. Not too hard.

Removing the circle pad is a bit weird, because you need to rotate it so it gets inserted on the console's body, and also put some circular things over the analog stick and under the circle pad, but I did not find it hard to do.

I have seen metallic circle pads, but I fear of the effects it could have on the top screen, depending on the model.
