Hacking 3DS CFW Change Region Settings

Hey!
I know that going into Data Management will delete everything on the SD card. So, in order to be careful, if I change my 3DS region in Other -> Region Settings will anything bad happen?

Every other menu does nothing harmful, only Data Management.
