no not at all. psx emulator is everywhere these days, I think it would be cool if there is a homebrew psx emulator in 3DS, don't you think?

I thought you said the original DS, which does not have even close to the required power to emulate a PSX (CPU is only part of the problem).

If the devs wanted to just keep it to themselves, they wouldn't have (shouldn't have) announced the hack.
Surely the act of "I've hacked the 3DS" blogging is provocative action to "stoke the fire".

Telling a kid you've made the best Candy ever, and then tell them to stop drooling 3 seconds later is .... a major tease.

But he's said multiple times that it's coming when it's ready and he's already given the exploit to trusted developers who won't leak it but help him get work done. Anyone who attacks smealum is a troll, there's no way around it.

FWIW, I myself think Smealum should do what he wants. I think it would be quite interesting if he can release code that enables homebrew but doesn't enable piracy. Seems almost impossible. Good luck to him I say.

And who, exactly, is trolling and saying they're owed something? Lambstone was inflammatory and annoying, but all he did was say that the hack was insufficient for a full scene and thus disappointing to him. I haven't seen anyone actually express that smealum is a selfish twat, THAT would actually be stupid and wrong.

Hi guys, i have an idea, probably of where´s the exploit. So let´s start in smealum video: He run homebrew from ds profile, so the exploit it´s the same that in 4.x. I think he extract NAND partitons ( i have a tool for this) and make a hibrid NAND 6.3 and nds partition so he can use the exploit.

It´s that possible ? i think yes but im not sure..

A Ds flash card yeah, although he is looking for an entry point on 7.x which would likely be using some other means

Given that you jointed up last October, I think it is fair to mention that you may not have seen much prior to the last six months.

I was referring to a wider context with that statement.

What happened in that thread is unfortunately far from new. At GBAtemp, there is a history of devs being chased away by the irrational demands of trolls.

This is what's happening. He's using mset as the entry point in the 6.x. FirmWare, and executing his own (NEW) exploit, called ssspwn. 7.x is where Nintendo patches mset, so he now needs a new entry point.

the 4.x exploit is dead ? I mean: was abandoned ? I won't update my 3ds until someone release a 4.x exploit

Ps: I have no problem with original games.
