I would be VERY surprised that it remove A9LH.
They would have to reflash the NFIRM partition. If they did, there's a high chance that there will be another brick wave.

Wait, so I can't just hardmod then flash a full nand backup? Not sure what you mean by the NFIRM partition... unless that's part of the regular nand? Sorry, noob question I know.

You can flash your NAND backup, since it is yours. The NFIRM partition of the NAND is where arm9loader.bin is stored, and so where A9LH is installed. NFIRM stand for Native Firmware if I am not mistaken (I'm using my brain here. I can't find the real meaning on internet). If you screw up your NFIRM partition, brick's gonna happens. I don't know how Gateway could rewrite the NFIRM partition without screwing up while Nintendo won't patch it.

Just a thought... could it be possible that Nintendo is actually TRYING to improve "stability"? Maybe they are trying to close in security holes rather than trying put a stop to CFWs. From what I looked at, Most of those CFWs that got "patched" were just caught in a crossfire between Nintendo's changes in binary code and the scripting done in the CFWs. The coding simply went unsynced and nobody bothered to do anything about it. If Nintendo were actually trying to shut down CFW for good, wouldn't they write a code that somehow detects the CFW's name or behavior and prevents it from loading or assign a team of employees (probably the Miiverse admins) to watch over Streetpass in 11.3 and see if anyone recently played some game called "FBI" or maybe allow the Miiverse admins to see what game they recently played once a user signs into Miiverse.

Also, they can't just crack down on CFWs if they lost a legal battle against GameGenie in the past.

But what do I know? I haven't coded a system hack.

I think doing a bricking code for CFW user is slippery on legal term. They would have to actually patch something which is not ONLY to break a console, so it would be the user "fault" if they bricked because they had a CFW. Also, imagine the backlash if their code bricked legitimate user. It would be the Gateway brick wave all over again, but with more repercussion, since it would be an official update from Nintendo, and not a unofficial update from a hacker group. That could cost a lot in term of investor and trust between the company and users.

Pretty much. I doubt Nintendo would try to crack down on CFW. They can't even if they wanted to. If anything, they could try to make Freeshop "crash to homescreen" or force the developers to delete all bin files and shut down their servers.

Isn't Freeshop/CIAngel download directly from Nintendo server using TitleKey?

Yes, but FreeShop also relies on privately-hosted cache files. That being said, if Nintendo could do any of that, I'm sure that they already would have (or at least tried to).

On the page, scroll down to "otherapp/ropbin payloads"
Choose your firmware and download..

Yes, I understand but I want know about where goes in? I have CIA version of Homebrew Launcher and A9LH 3DS.

Edit: Homebrew Launcher 1.3 fixed the problem.

Thanks

ohh, well next time, usually the HBL cia will autodownload the payload for your version, just so you know for the next update

Ok, but older HBL cia won't download automatically and froze so I had to re-install via FBI to fix the problem.

do you have a9lh installed? If you don't, then unless you hardmod and restore a NAND Backup, then you are stuck.

Also, if you are using a9lh, i would recommend using luma3ds (you don't have to, but it is recommended)

No I dont.. but in the reinand menu I can use the homebrew launcher, or the xodpad and FBI option to restore the emunand.. that help? Never use it before really but it says is potentially dangerous.. also i Read that you cant downgrade hardmod this firmware.. I dont know if using emunand you can.

Sorry for the noobs questions and Thanks really for answering.. i feel so dumb for how this happen..

You can't downgrade via hardmod. But you can still flash a nand backup to the sysnand. So if you have a NAND Backup from before 11.3, you can still flash that nand. But other than a hardmod, you are stuck. FBI needs to have arm9 (via a9lh or on 11.2) in order to access NAND. XORPads do not help downgrading, they are only used for decrypting NAND backups.
