I am pretty excited for this
wait, no pc! really... I didnt actually read that part when I read the original article... that is fantastic!
you still need to put the firmware on the device some how so you do still need a pc, though those who have crappy sata chipsets will be very pleased with this.
looks interesting, unnecessary if you have a pc with a compatible chipset, but still a handy tool if you do flash consoles for others.
Sounds wonderful. I can't wait to buy one.
I already have a VIA 6421 sata chipset so I wont need this
If it is released, can I use this to play backups on my SLIM?
Not at the moment no. There's currently no FW to flash onto the Slim DVD drive as of now. But you can still get yours keys from it.
okay, whatever. I don´t really understand what you exactly mean...
But still it helps for the future, does it?
I want one... badly!
will be easier for people who run linux and mac as well
Because dosflash (which I am told is compatible with freedos if you have a special dislike of MS) does not exist?
I am sure it will not be treated as such but it was not my intention to be antagonistic.
well, i mean without having to go through all the steps to get dosflash to run (making the bootable disk and stuff)
