Hacking Homebrew 3 freezing after exiting system apps

Hello!
I've recently CTRtransfered my o3DS (i used the guide from 3ds.hacks.guide) and i've noticed something weird. Every time i close a system app (just the stuff at the top like the notifications, friends list, etc) it seems to infinitely load the "HOME Menu" splash screen. I can still use the Rosalina menu fine, but i cant seem to exit out without forcefully shutting down the whole system. This has been bugging me for a looong time, and i haven't seen any threads about this. I don't want to factory reset because i have a ton of games and save data.

Any advice?

Does the same thing happen if you remove the SD card?

Yes. I've tried almost everything- SD in, SD out, WiFi on, WiFi off, etc.

When I bought it, it was in Japanese and I couldn't understand it. (I guess I kinda forgot to mention its a JPN->USA CTRTransfered 3DS - sorry about that! )

Yes, that is something you should have mentioned.

Did you do everything in https://3ds.hacks.guide/region-changing , including the "Fixing locale-related issues"?

I didn't see that before when I did it- but that completely fixed the issue!
