What would you do if you had a 3.0 Switch and SX Pro?

Pokemon Quest will require the latest firmware then. Wont work. I decided to use the easy update method and use the SMO cartrige to update to 3.0.1. Now I have SMO. That will keep me happy until i can get my Champion's Ballad.

OK, so today is the day. My SX PRO will be here today! Happy happy, joy joy! I think I will use the no fuses update method to go to 4.1 Then Ill have plenty of games to choose from. Ill be able to downgrade back if needed and won't have to deal with the cartridge slot fuse frying. BOTW Champions Ballad should work as well as SMO! I can wait on this firmware for a long time. Also. I am looking at the tutorial to update without burning fuses, it's pretty complicated. Nothing like the original A9LH install,l but not easy.. I noticed NSP games need a donor. I can't get E-shop on 3.0 or 4.1. So do I need to update to 4.1 (no burn method), use the same method to update all the way to 5.1 with the temp file for the cart slot. Download the Pokemon game for a donor. Then downgrade back to 4.1? Will I be able to use the Pokemon game as a donor after the move back to 4.1? Did I get all of that right? Whats the best course of action friends!? What do you guys think?
If you already updated to 5.1 to load Pokemon etc. - why downgrading again, since you can use all your games und have the possiblity to downgrade to 4.1 if there is something interesting...
My question would be: If I upgraded to 5.1 using the no burning fuses method - di I have to prevent the official 5.1 to load normally to prevent the 5.1 fuse will be burned? Could I boot the 5.1 official to load eshop content? Or do I have to boot SX only (eg- by auto rcm for prevent booting ofw 5.1)?

I am on the same boat, with 3.0.0 or 3.0.1 (unpacked). And here are my thoughts with current state of hacking. Let's note three wishes:
1. Saving early firmware unit, with a hope for the grand blossom after months or years of hackers research.
2. Having fresh firmware, playing cartriges and backups.
3. Not having a headache with saving fuses, restoring clean state and backuping everything again after each firmware update.
1 && 3 -> Just dont's touch it yet and play with something else. I am here.
2 && 3 -> SX Pro.
1 && 2 -> rajkosto's guide and NSP games.
1 && 2 && 3 -> Buy another unit, either new with 1.0 firmware, or any exploitable and update it.

To be clear, I didn't update all the way. I only updated to 3.0.1 using a SMO cart and the "Easy" method. It's very easy. The statement I made that you quoted was a hypothetical, it wont work since IF I download Pokemon Quest now then it would need the latest firmware. And if you use any of the "no burn" fuse safe update methods then you will need to enable auto rcm to prevent burning the fuse..

I figure ill stay at 3.0.1 for however long it takes until an EmuNAND solution is released or maybe a better vulnerability is discovered in a later firmware. That way I can play SMO. I have a PS4 for most other games anyway. If Atmo with working EmuNAND comes out ill jump back down to 3.0 possibly. Otherwise 3.0.1 feels good to me. rajkosto's guide is much safer I am sure but the Easy update tutorial worked fine for me. I just backed up everything with Hekate, put smo in the cart slot, put the jug and SX pro dongle in the switch. Accepted the update and hold the VOL + button the entire time it is updating untill I see the SX menu, then install AutoRCM before the reboot. Easy! Same number of burnt fuses before and after!

ok thanks understood, I currently have a similar situation. I am on 4.1.0, SX Pro still didn't arrive and plannig what do do if it arrives and don't know exactly...

1.One way would be to stay simply at 4.1.0 without playing online and downloading things and be happy, waiting for some new rleases from the scene
2. Other way it seems so, would be backup all 4.1.0 NAND, update with burning no fuses method, activate autorcm and booting all the time into SXOS, never loading the OFW since then fuses will be burnt and have the possiblity to downgrade some time - I understood so I would not be able to download anything because not allowed to boot in OFW.
3. Update to 5.1 using SX Pro and thats it...

What would be your choice here?

Thanks!
