Modded with ModMii and used their inbuilt gxloader. When in a gamecube game, I try to exit a game with 'R,Z,B and D Pad down' but it freezes every single time. Tried a few suggestions on the net with no effect.
Does it through nintendont too. Also, I am using an official gamecube controller.

Has anyone had the same issue and got it sorted?

Have you tried to exit a GC game that was launched directly via Nintendont instead of USB Loader GX?

If the issue also occurs when using Nintendont directly then you can rule out USB Loader GX.

Reading online, it seems like some people worked around the Nintendont issue by configuring their loader of choice to return to its forwarder channel. So for USB Loader GX just follow the instructions in this post.

If setting the UNEO channel doesn't help then you could try using this fork of Nintendont. It's an older version, but maybe it'll work when used directly?

Tried setting the channel return to GXLoader but that hasn't worked. The fork appears to be for the 360!

No, the fork is for the Wii. It just adds compatibility with wired Xbox 360 controllers.
FINALLY. Thanks very much, that worked spot on. A week I've been trying to sort this (off after a knee op) so its bloody great it now works. Again, a ton of thanks, dude(ette).

It works through loadergx too.

You can copy the boot.dol file into the apps/nintendont directory if you want to make that version compatible with USB Loader GX.

There are also newer Nintendont versions that you could try, if you're willing.

Just rename loader.dol to boot.dol and place the file into the apps/nintendont directory.

You'll find that 6.490 is basically the same as the fork you're using, but without Xbox 360 controller support.

Awesome, I'll have a play.

For me it doesn't happen if I use Nintendont directly, only through usbloadergx 1283 every time. I play in 4:3 and when I press ZRBDown the image stretches and the console crashes permanently. I already tried leaving it an hour to see if it eventually get unfrozen.

I don't think I've messed with any of the Nintendont settings in usbloadergx that would make me think they could be the issue.

I don't use a forwarder of usbloadergx. Since I'm using a Wii U and I did my mod before they implemented Priiloader, I don't have any bricking safety nets so I don't mess with the Wii system if I can.

Usbloadergx returns to both the homebrew channel and wii menu no problem when I press home.

An update for everyone, I was facing the same problem with my updated Nintendont and the USB Loader GX. It, turned out I was using a different USB Loader GX forwarder named USB Loader IDCL forwarder, and that was also set as my option for the return to option in USB Loader GX. I installed the UNEO forwarder, changed my return to location to the UNEO option, and now my Wii doesn't freeze or crash when I press the home button while playing a GameCube game launched from my USB loader GX.
