Hacking 3.0.1 or 5.0.3 ?

Hi i have two consoles.
One is with fw 3.0.1 and the other is 5.0.3.
I have to give one away, so what versio should i keep?

I want to put cfw on it.
And was wondering ...

Becuase of the
1. software solution of booting to atmosphere
2. Small possibility of coldboot

You mean 5.0.2? There is no 5.0.3 only 5.0.2 and 5.1.0

I would recommend keeping the 3.0.1 console because it leaves you with more options down the road.

Keep them both, incase one gets banned from CFW

the lower firmware has more options, in terms of a softmod exploit for booting CFW, while the 5.x one will require external hardware for booting into CFW (i.e tx dongle, RCM jig/ way to launch payload i.e phone, PC etc), or you can use the AUTO RCM mod that also forces the console into RCM mode all the time which means you would then just need a payload injector and not need the RCM jig

ultimately its upto you, you can boot a higher firmware on the 3.x one without burning effuses following this guide

which will mean for now you will need to use a RCM jig to boot, but eventually one the softmod is made available for booting CFW you will be able to downgrade back to 3.x and use the sofmod

I would stick to the 3.0.1 Switch for now if I were you. At least until CFW gets more fleshed out and user friendly imo.

Didn't have time to jailbreak it ..
But i am waiting for a weekend to do my ps4, switch and ps vita 3.65
But i am waiting first for cfw for switch.

then get sxos pro and it literally doesn't matter which one you keep, it works on all firmware, and until a hardware revision from nintendo will always work
