As mentioned in the title, my O2DS only charges when turned off, the orange LED disappears when the device is turned on. This is the case with both a third party charger and the original charger.

Any help in fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

does the system indicate it's charging in the battery indicator? I just tested my system to see, because not all systems have the charging light come on when the system is on. by systems, I mean like any system, iirc the ps vita's charging light goes off when it's on, but it will indicate it's charging in the battery indicator. yep, mine does come on. I couldn't remember if it was a separate light.

Thanks for the quicky reply. The indicator doesn't show that it's charging - it stays blue, showing the bars of battery left. The orange LED will sporadically flash for a split second when the charger is plugged in and the device is on.

I have a similar problem with my o3ds. when I bought it, it was like this. it doesn't charge, even off, unless the cable is angled a certain way. I don't use it though (still has a9lh). I just use my majora's mask n3ds xl. however, I don't play it either. anyway, maybe someone else has an idea. I'm just assuming it's the charging port.

Have you tried a different charger? Does the system charge when it is off?

Yes I have tried a variety of chargers, the system charges when turned off but stops charging as soon as it's is turned on.
Sounds like there is something going on inside the console that needs to be repaired

likely a short from water damage
